Body Rock

Lately I have been obsessed with watching www.bodyrock.tv Zuzanne is so stinking cute!!! I WANT to hate her. Her bod is amazing! However, she is so sweet, you can't help but love her. I have printed out pretty much all the recipes on the site. Any that were in video I just wrote down the recipe, typed it up and printed it out. Tomorrow starts my quest for a better body. I love having curves!! I do NOT want to get rid of them! Did I mention I love having curves??? Although I am comfortable with the curves, I definitely need to firm up a bit. So, I ordered the interval timer. I don't have the other things they use but I think I may be able to improvise or use an alternate exercise until I can work up to them. I do have to say I am very grateful to have a man in my life who actually likes my body the way it is. I am NOT obese by any means. Just about 20 pounds over what I would like to be and I am in some serious need of some serious toning. I pretty much don't eat a lot of fried foods or fast foods. I have gotten off track on cutting out much of the added sugar (vs. naturally sweet things like fruits, etc.) But, back on track I go! My big hurdle: carbs.........namely bread. I am addicted!!! But, I have cut them back (not completely out) before, I can do it again!! I just wish I had a buddy to do this with. Not actually together in the same room but maybe to pick out our workouts and do them on the same days and kind of talk about them later and see how we did and what killed us, almost. hahahahah ah well, I have this blog so, I guess it will have to do. I would definitely recommend you all check out their site! The workouts are very short but VERY intense!!!! You can see it on Zuzane's face at the end of each one! I hope the interval timer comes in tomorrow so I CAN start. But, if not, I may just do something in the morning. Well, off to make up an exercise log and food diary to print out. Hmmmmmmmmmmm........maybe once I get that done, I will upload them for download in case anyone is interested.
TTFN!!!
~~~~~~~EDIT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I finished and uploaded two different types of exercise logs. One is a daily log. The other is intended for individual exercises to keep track of your amazing progress!!! You can find them in the Pages section right under my About Me with profile pic on the left side of this page.
You Have Been Warned...........
OK, my daughter, Rachel, came to visit me from July 4 through July 9. I missed her so much! She is my mini-me. She came here not only to visit but to get her driver's license. She has had her permit for a while now. I was very irritated that her father and stepmother would send her out here to get her license, tell her that if she failed she would have to pay back the money for the ticket and then NOT prepare her for the actual driving test. Well, resolve firmly in place, I made sure she passed! My dad gave her a crash course on parallel parking. I CAN parallel park, I just go out of my way NOT to do this and therefore, didn't feel like I was the most qualified person to help her. So, dad and Rachel in the driveway. First we were going into Hinesville but the road was closed because of wildfires. OK, into Savannah we go. We arrive. Rachel is very nervous. She isn't too sure about the whole parallel parking thing. Well, the computers go down. *eye roll* I was wondering if the universe was against this child getting her license. On to Statesboro we go. We arrive there. I was getting a little panicked because they close at 6 and it was about 3 at this time. Well, I worried for nothing. There weren't very many people there at all. Rachel seemed more relaxed. We waited for less than 10 minutes and they very sweet lady called her out to get her driving test. I was a little nervous because I know how nervous she was. They come back..............SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One little thing: she didn't use her blinkers when doing the parallel parking. hahahahaha But, otherwise, she did very well. I am so stinking proud of her!!! And it was great to know that she won't have to pay back a plane ticket. ;-) Apparently, the universe wanted her to go someplace she would be comfortable taking the test. I guess the universe knows what it is doing sometimes.
Watch out world! Stuff just got real!
The First
Well, this isn't my first blog. Just the first post of this particular one. I have always been crafty. I learned to sew on my nana's Pfaff machine. I was 10 years old and I made a nightgown for my Barbie doll. I wish I had a picture to show you. Unfortunately, there weren't home computers, digital cameras or the internet back then. I remember it was this 70's garish orange flowered  material. It was essentially a rectangle of fabric sewing on the sides, hemmed at the bottom and had a little pocket hem at the top. Orange yarn was threaded through and tied at the shoulders. I have sewn many things since then, but that is the one thing I remember in great detail. I learned to crochet a chain stitch around that same time. That was the only stitch I learned until I got much older. My ex mother-in-law taught me the single crochet and the double crochet. Everything else after I taught myself. I dabble in many types of crafting but I am a master at none. I make jewelry, sew, crochet, etc. Sewing and crafting are sanity savers for me. Inexpensive therapy. Hopefully I can keep ya'll entertained on this blog. But just to warn you: it won't be totally about crafts. I am going to embark on a weight loss journey. I don't need to lose much, just 15 pounds. TOPS! But, that is for another entry. I will probably throw up some recipes I've tried, frugal ideas I come across, maybe some daily quotes, just whatever comes to mind for the day. I am trying to get a routine in my life. First thing is to make it a priority to write in this blog every night before I go to bed. So, I guess it's on with the show!
